Here in this house ...
~There will be an effort to communicate with me on my level.
~If ill, I will be doctored.
~If scared, I will be calmed.
~If sad, I will be cheered.
~My life is a responsibility and not an afterthought.
~I will run, jump and act silly because my back is being watched
and I'm in no danger if I let my guard down.
~I will learn that humans can be almost as kind and fair as cats.

~Here in this house ...
~I will belong.
adapted from a poem by Laura Cathleen Patterson

Our love for Indiana is overshadowed by his unconditional love for us and what that has given us. He plays fetch (sorry couldn't get a picture of him doing that) and meets us at the door when we get home. He integrated into our 7 cat household (we now have a total of 9 cats, all previous unwanted, now very much wanted) without breaking stide, making many new friends (including our St Bernard mix dog).
