Chelsea came to my porch in search of food. She was thin with a horrible rash, but was so friendly and loving that
I eventually had to take her in (much to the horror of our other members of the herd).
She immediately found a place in my heart, but has been taking time getting used to the other cats and that
very large dog. Chelsea loves water, so much that I think she may have been a retriever in another life. She gets into
the sink as soon as I go into the bathroom and doesn't think twice about letting the water run all over her as she plays
with the stream from the faucet. She's gotten in the tub with me, but only once. The water falling from above was a tad more
than she expected.
She's gained weight (no wonder she eats like a starved horse) and has become more like a calico beach ball than a cat.
So we play with the laser light to give her exercise. She loves chasing it across the floor and will do laps from the bedroom
through the bathroom and back again over an over as fast as her stocky little legs will take her. She gets so enthusiastic about it that she rebounds off the wall and will continue
to chase the light, after I've turned it off.
